St. Mark's Episcopal Church is very active within the community and support several local programs.
We love supporting Fort Dodge and many surrounding towns.

Manna Meal

The Community Manna Meal is an ecumencial project supported by several churches in the City of Fort Dodge. The meal is held at First United Methodist Church with area churches preparing and serving a meal for those in need of food and fellowship. The evening consists of a short devotional and meal, followed by Bingo where those attending receive items not available to those who use food stamps.

UDMO

Upper Des Moines Opportunity, Inc (UDMO) helps people in need in Webster County and surrounding areas. They are located at 1327 1st Ave S. in Fort Dodge.

Change for Change

Shrove Tuesday Pancake Supper was on February 21 this year. We raised over $1,020. ALL proceeds go to local outreach in the community.

We served over 300 hungry cyclists on July 26, 2021.

Beginning in March 2022, members of St. Mark's helped raise money for local non-profits in the Fort Dodge area. Our first month we raised over $300 for the Lords Cupboard.

In 2022, we have raised money for Lotus Women's Shelter, BACA (Bikers Against Child Abuse), Almost Home Animal Shelter, and the Lords Cupboard.

Coat Drive

Soup Supper Drive Thru (2022)

St. Mark's began collecting coats in November 2021. Coats were donated to The Beacon of Hope Men's Shelter, Salvation Army, YWCA, Domestic Sexual Assault Outreach Center (DSAOC), and distributed throughout the community. Our coat ministry continues thru 2022.

Our first drive thru soup supper was held on Sunday, January 30th, 2022 from 4pm-6pm. All proceeds went to The Lord's Cupboard.
